BAGHDAD: Iraqi prime minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has received a delegation from the Saudi-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council, one of a series of meetings done by the group with Iraqi officials.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of strengthening bonds between Saudi Arabia and Iraq and stressed the need to further bolster the countries’ partnerships across various sectors, state news agency SPA reported.
Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Qannas, Shura Council member and chairman of the committee, who was leading the delegation meanwhile underlined the depth of relations between the Kingdom and Iraq, and highlighted their multifaceted nature.
The delegation also met with Mohammed Ali Tamim, the deputy prime minister and minister of planning; Hayan Abdul Ghani, deputy prime minister and minister of oil; Ziyad Ali Fadel, the minister of electricity; Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, minister of youth and sports; and Haidar Muhammad Makiya, the head of the Iraqi National Investment Commission.
